Tornabuoni Art Paris presents for the first time in France, a retrospective dedicated to the Italian artist Emilio Isgrò. A great innovator of post-war Italian artistic language and a forerunner of international conceptual art, Emilio Isgrò made his first Cancellatura (cancellation) in 1964. By deleting the lyrics in order to reveal only segments of a text which is now fragmented, the artist contributed to the development of Poesia visiva (visual poetry), and in 1966 he defined his own conception of poetry as Arte generale del segno (General Art of the Sign).
