Tornabuoni Art is pleased to participate in the exhibition ‘The Golden Way – La via dell’oro‘ by lending the artwork “Concetto spaziale (1964)” by Lucio Fontana.
In collaboration with the National Museums of Perugia – Regional Directorate Museums Umbria and the Regional Directorate Museums Veneto, Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca’ d’Oro in Venice presents some masterpieces from the National Gallery of Umbria in dialogue with important works by Italian masters of the second half of the 20th century.
Works by Duccio di Boninsegna, Gentile da Fabriano, the Master of the Madonna of Perugia, Giovanni Baronzio, Cataluccio da Todi, and Bartolomeo Caporali intertwine with those of contemporary artists such as Alberto Burri, Gino De Dominicis, Lucio Fontana, Marisa Merz, Michelangelo Pistoletto, and Carol Rama, creating a unique artistic journey. Through six dialogues between ancient and modern, the theme of the use of gold emerges as a guiding thread, allowing the juxtaposition of works that, despite belonging to different epochs, share technical, aesthetic, and conceptual resonances, opening up new horizons of interpretation.
The exhibition will be open until June 16th, 2024.
