Curated by Agnese Marengo and Maurizio Romanengo, Libri nell’Arte. Dal Medioevo all’Età Contemporanea concludes a series of exhibitions titled Genova Capitale Italiana del Libro, which focused on the role of books in city’s history and identity.
The exhibition takes place at Palazzo Grimaldi alla Meridiana. It showcases ninety works, including paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings, installations, and manuscripts, highlighting the deep connection between visual arts and reading.
Libri nell’Arte features works by renowned artists such as Fortunato Depero, Alighiero Boetti, and Giulio Paolini, sourced from museums, foundations, and private collections. Together, they trace the history of the book in art from the 13th century to today.
The exhibition is open to the public until July 14, 2024.
