Tornabuoni Art is pleased to participate in the exhibition ‘Carla Accardi’ through the loan of the artwork ‘Assedio rosso n. 3’.
Curated by Daniela Lancioni and Paola Boanoni, the exhibition celebrates the centenary of Carla Accardi’s birth, a prominent figure in the cultural landscape of contemporary Italian and international visual art. With approximately one hundred works on display, the exhibition provides a comprehensive overview of the life and work of the artist.
Through the artworks on display, visitors will be able to explore Accardi’s early years with the Forma group, her innovative turn towards black and white painting, subsequent explorations with colors and materials such as sicofoil, the artistic environments of the tumultuous ’60s and 2000s, and the reconstruction of the exhibition space at the 1988 Venice Biennale. The exhibition concludes with Accardi’s bold reinventions of her artistic language in the decades of her life.
The exhibition will be open at Palazzo Esposizioni in Rome until June 9, 2024.
