The Paris gallery presents the first major exhibition of Paolo Scheggi’s work in France, curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, Associate Curator of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice and curator of the upcoming work Paolo Scheggi: Catalog Raisonné.
The exhibition will explore the artist’s career, from his famous Intersuperfici to his research around language and his theatrical and urban performances. The work of this major artist of the Italian post-war avant-garde, who died at the age of 31, is today closely followed by the art world. The exhibition will include a reconstruction of the installation presented by Scheggi at the 1966 Venice Biennale, made possible by generous loans from the Museum für Konkrete Kunst, Ingolstadt and Franca and Cosima Scheggi.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue which gathers precious archival material edited under the direction of Luca Massimo Barbero and which is available at the Paris gallery.
