Tornabuoni Art Paris presents a new phase in its cycle of exhibitions dedicated to major Italian post-war artists with a new retrospective dedicated to Mimmo Rotella.
In the show – curated by Bruno Corà – around fifty works will be presented, most of which date from the artist’s golden age, the rarest period, from 1954 to 1964.
Mimmo Rotella was one of the first, in the fifties, to overturn the language of art using materials from the urban landscape, in particular advertising posters, recovering images from the street to elevate them to works of art.
