The exhibition “Landscape Through Time” offers a historical and conceptual survey of the transformations of landscape in art, from the early twentieth century to the present day. The exhibition traces how, across different historical periods, artists’ perceptions of the landscape, its modes of representation, and the materials used to depict it have undergone profound changes. This evolution is documented through works ranging from the early twentieth-century paintings of Giovanni Fattori to the metaphysical visions of Giorgio de Chirico. The journey then continues through Lucio Fontana’s Spatialism and the radical rethinking of materiality introduced by Arte Povera, before culminating in Pop Art, Postmodernism, and contemporary artistic practices.
