Tornabuoni Arte presents the first solo exhibition in Florence of Enrico Benetta, from 27th February until 7th May 2016.
The exhibition presents the fascinating research of the artist, explaining how letters become once again that same object that in the ancient typographical tradition was chiseled in iron and minutely carved in plates, in order to put together, as in a puzzle, the elements created.
Benetta carves, creates and welds the iron letters repeating that ancestral manual labor, yet producing some changes: he enlarges and frees it for it to be reformulated.
