Tornabuoni Art Paris presents a show dedicated to the artistic career of one of the most important contemporary Italian sculptors: Arnaldo Pomodoro.
Arnaldo Pomodoro has previously showed in Paris: a solo show at the Museum of Modern Art of Paris in 1976 and the large-scale exhibition in the Royal Palace Gardens in 2002. For his solo exhibition at Tornabuoni Art, Arnaldo Pomodoro returned to Paris with fifty artworks from 1960 to 2011, and among these works are unique and never-before-seen pieces made specifically for this occasion.
In collaboration with the Italian Embassy, an exceptional bronze sculpture, Lancia di Luce II, seven meters tall, will be shown in Paris, in the cour d’honneur at the Hôtel de La Rochefoucauld-Doudeauville (where the Embassy is situated) for the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Italian Unification.
exhibition catalogue edited by Tornabuoni Art Paris and Bruno Corà. B/w and colored illustrations, 168 pages, 9,4×11,8 in, French/English/Italian, 2011.
