Enrico Castellani, one of the most important artists of the 20th century, explored the boundaries of abstact expressionism inventing a new, personal and distinctive language. His monochromatic canvases reflect his own conception of space in art.
Mendrisio Museum of Art stands out in Switzerland for its program aiming at rediscovering artists never-seen before in the country. On this occasion, the museum organizes the first exhibition dedicated entirrely to Enrico Castellani wihtin the Swiss borders. Organised in collaboration with the Enrico Castellani Foundation, the itinerary offers a comprehensive and chronological point of view on the artist’s career.
The exhibition is open until July 7, 2024.
